Street Art Monkey Message Stencil

Who’s the Real Artist?

The Street Art Monkey Message Stencil depicts a seated monkey and holding a sign that reads, "WHO’S THE REAL ARTIST?" This striking visual playfully questions the role of the artist and the legitimacy of street art as a recognized art form. The monkey—often used in urban art as a critique of modern society—becomes a provocative messenger, directly engaging the viewer. This stencil is an invitation to reflect on art, creativity, and cultural norms, skillfully blending humor with rebellion.

A Bold and Expressive Urban Design

The Street Art Monkey Message Stencil embraces the raw and dynamic aesthetics of street art, featuring intricate fur details and a dripping effect on the sign. The bold, rough typography enhances the visual impact and reinforces the rebellious nature of the message. This striking and socially engaged design echoes iconic graffiti and artistic reinterpretations, using powerful yet accessible symbolism. Easy to apply on various surfaces—walls, canvases, furniture, or textiles—this stencil is perfect for those who want to infuse their creations with a thought-provoking and humorous statement. Whether you're a street art enthusiast or an artist looking for an impactful visual, this unique design will bring originality and depth to your work. Use your art to challenge perspectives and spark reflection with the Street Art Monkey Message Stencil.

The stencil, a starting point for creation

A stencil doesn't dictate the colors, the style or the final result. It can be used to integrate a portrait into an abstract painting, create textures, add graphic effects or enrich a composition. Acrylic, spray paint, brushes, drips and layered colors: every artist can combine techniques and interpret our designs in their own way, to create artworks that truly reflect them.

Frequently asked questions

Here are the essentials to help you order with confidence.

Yes! Made from flexible, durable Mylar, our stencils are designed to be used hundreds of times, with both acrylic paint and spray paint. Their sturdiness lets you create again and again without having to replace the stencil after each use.

After testing several materials and thicknesses in our workshop, we chose Mylar about 8 mil (0.008 in) thick for its balance between flexibility and durability. Thicker films tend to retain more of the curl from being manufactured on a roll, which makes them harder to lay flat. Our choice makes it easier to work on canvas while maintaining excellent durability.

With spray paint, systematic cleaning is usually not necessary: thin layers of paint can dry on the stencil without affecting its reuse. If paint builds up, especially with thick acrylic, you can gently clean your stencil with lukewarm water or a product suited to the paint used.

Yes. Our stencils can be used on canvas, wood, walls, paper and fabric, with a paint suited to the surface. Their flexibility makes them easy to position for creating paintings, murals and many decorative projects.

Yes, we ship our stencils worldwide. Shipping costs and delivery times are calculated based on your country and the dimensions of your order, and are shown before payment.

We accept secure payments by credit card and PayPal, as well as several local payment options depending on your country of residence.

Yes. You have 30 days after receipt to return an unused stencil, in accordance with our return policy. The refund is issued once the product has been received and inspected.
